Signatory Orkney 18 Year Old Peated

Signatory Vintage is an independent bottling company, playing an important role in the whisky business. In this case, they have purchased a cask from a ‘secret’ Orkney Distillery and then carefully chosen when to bottle and release the whisky. Distilled in 2005, this single malt spent 18 years aging in a single first-fill Oloroso Sherry Cask and part of their Cask Strength Collection series. It’s also bottled at 55.0% abv, free from chill-filtration. After a rest in the glass, the campfire smoke starts to smolder with a mix of blackberry, sweet plum, raisin, dried prune and spicy chocolate with a hint of cinnamon and shortbread.
