Scherrer Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Fred Scherrer began making wine from his father’s vineyards in 1991. He regularly underplays his wines, letting them speak for themselves with a rigorous routine every vintage. His Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon still carries a pretty good kick but is typically a much rounder manifestation in terms of style. This is due to extra aging in the barrel to fully develop before bottling. It’s also best to crack open with a little age to reveal its full personality. This beauty is attractive and deep, bursting a mix of dark raspberries, black currant, mint, crushed flowers and tobacco with a juicy freshness. Drink between: 2022-2029
