Scherrer Alexander Valley Chardonnay

Fred Scherrer began making wine from his father’s vineyards in 1991. He first became known for his reds and now his careful hand and attention has expanded to exemplary Chardonnay. This savage offering is 100% barrel fermented and typically aged for 16 to 17 months in French oak. It’s intensely rich and full of personality, with great complexity. It offers a mix of floral citrus, pineapple, grapefruit and subtle toast with a flurry of creamy butter.
