Balthasar Ress founded this Weinhaus (Wine House) in 1870. He wanted to make wine to serve to his guests in a little hotel he owned, as well. The property is now run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Ress family. This zippy Riesling is classified as a 'Trocken', which translates to 'dry'. This is an important designation for those seeking a wine with little to no residual sugar. It's a true classic with a refreshing mix of prickly pear, apple, peach and apricot.
