Cabernet is king in the Australian grape growing region of the Coonawarra. The Coonawarra wine region is a wine region centred on the town of Coonawarra in the Limestone Coast zone of South Australia. It is known for the Cabernet Sauvignon wines produced on its "terra rossa" soil. The name has been said to have originated in Bindjali, an Aboriginal language, meaning "wild honeysuckle."
The Redman winery was founded in 1908 and still run today by the fourth generation of the Redman family. "This cabernet carries dynamic aromas of cedar, cassis, blueberry, raspberry preserves, mint and mocha with an excellent rich and lengthy finish."
