The Isle of Raasay lies off the west coast of Scotland, separated from the Isle of Skye by a short 25-minute ferry journey. This corner of the world is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and one of Scotland’s most incredibly diverse ecosystems. The Island is comparable in size and shape to Manhattan Island and has only 161 residents. Today, over 10% of the island work at the distillery. This is a nicely peated single malt offering notes of dark berries, white pepper, peat smoke and ginger with a hint of pear and vanilla. It’s also aged in Chinquapin Oak, that is sourced from the Northern Ozark region of Missouri.
