Paul Thomas 'Chavignol' Sancerre

Founded in 2000, Domaine Paul Thomas is now run by Raphael Thomas and is located in the village of Chavignol, within the wine region of Sancerre. This area is known for flourishing in some of the finest vineyards, offering remarkable concentration and purity for the Sauvignon Blanc grape. From just nine hectares of vines, Raphael has proven to make some delicious and refreshing wine from such a remote location. No oak here, but this wine certainly carries many layers of texture from fermentation and aging in concrete tanks on its lees. It offers notes of lemon pith, zippy grapefruit, green pineapple and passion fruit, with hints of musky melon and flint.
