Famille Messager-Germain Cote Jardin Fixin Blanc

Famille Messager-Germain has quickly become one of the most exciting rising domaines in recent history. With a focus on precise, terroir-driven wines and meticulous vineyard work, the wines consistently show lots of clarity and energy. Adele Germain and Simon Messager met while studying in the town of Beaune and eventually took over 1.5 hectares of vineyards from Simon’s parents. However, they also source some fruit from tiny plots, to increase production levels and 2022 marks their first vintage. Within the village of Fixin, lies a small plot on limestone-rich soils, where these Chardonnay grapes are sourced. This wine is fermented entirely in larger French oak barrels and aged for 12 months before bottling. It’s an expressive beauty, showcasing a fusion of citrus peel, blood orange, green apple, grapefruit and buttered brioche, with a flinty, mineral edge. Only 600 bottles made!
