Famille Messager-Germain Fixin

Famille Messager-Germain has quickly become one of the most exciting rising domaines in recent history. With a focus on precise, terroir-driven wines and meticulous vineyard work, the wines consistently show lots of clarity and energy. Adele Germain and Simon Messager met while studying in the town of Beaune and eventually took over 1.5 hectares of vineyards from Simon’s parents. However, they also source some fruit from tiny plots, to increase production levels and 2022 marks their first vintage. Within the village of Fixin, lies a small plot (lieu-dit) known as 'Champs des Ares', where these Pinot Noir grapes are sourced. In its youth, this wine certainly has a good punch of fresh tannin, that reveals a mix of red cherry, raspberry and subtle spice, with a silky texture and a persistent finish. Drink between: 2024-2032
