There have been Muzards in Santenay since 1645 or before. The Lucien in the title was born in 1937. He bought land and planted vines with his wife Paule, thus offering his sons the opportunity of carrying on this inherited legacy of old vines. The ‘Champs Claude’ vineyard in Santenay, is literally a stone’s throw away from the famed Meursault. For this, you can definitely taste the essence of Meursault (Chardonnay), making you think of an undiscovered treasure. It carries a flawless mix of well-integrated oak and buttery creaminess, with a burst of golden apple, yellow pear and grape jelly with a hint of flinty stone and soft spices. Drink between: 2025-2032
