Lochlea Red Wine Cask Single Malt

Relatively new to the Scotch scene is Lochlea Distillery, in Scotland’s Lowlands. But the farm is rooted in Scottish history, as Robert Burns called Lochlea his home throughout his formative years. By day, Burns worked hard on the farm and in the evening, he enjoyed the company of his friends, debating at the Bachelors Club in nearby Tarbolton. The ground here has inspired the honest, passionate and progressive nature of Lochlea whisky. This limited-edition single malt was finished in Grenache wine casks, from the south of France. It’s bright and juicy, offering notes of strawberry, black cherry and red currant jam, with notes of creamy toffee, honeyed malt and baking spices.
