Kiona Red Mountain Merlot

The Kiona Estate is the oldest on Red Mountain and this family has 4 distinct blocks of Merlot on this relatively new and glorious mountain range. The first vines were planted in 1976 and the youngest were planted in 1995. All four blocks are included in this powerhouse Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. Merlot from Red Mountain is incredibly unique and always special. It produces a wine that’s both compelling and elegant, capable of profound depth, dark fruits and explosive density.
