Kiona Red Mountain Lemberger

One of the critical moments in the history of Washington State viticulture was when the owners of Kiona bought some property in 1972. This extremely rare offering from Kiona, was the first commercial bottling of Lemberger in the United States in 1980. A little Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere was also blended in for added complexity. It carries a blast of blue and black fruit with some baking spices. Think of it as cupcake birthday party with some backbone!
