Kettle Valley Old Main Red

Nestled on the sun-drenched slopes of the Naramata Bench, Kettle Valley Winery is dedicated to producing exceptional wines and is also the oldest single-owner winery, entering its 35th year. The rolling hills and variable soils of the area create a range of microclimates and terroirs, that an experienced grape grower can match to a wide variety of grape crops. ‘Old Main Red’ is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec and is aged in French Oak for 20 months prior to bottling. It’s an elegant charmer with silky tannins, showcasing a mix of blackcurrant, black plum jam, dark raspberry and fig, with a hint of vanilla, cocoa and toast. Drinking beautifully now but could easily hold for another few years.
