Named for the wild Douglas Iris that bloom here in the spring, Iris Vineyards is a south facing, bowl-shaped valley is surrounded by the rolling foothills of the Oregon Coast Mountain Range. Owners Richard Boyles and Pamela Frye began planting their vineyard in 1996 and their first vintage was in 2001. Currently their wines are crafted under the watchful eye of winemaker Aaron Lieberman who joined them in 2008.
The aromas of raspberry, plum, and blackberry complimented by a deep, rich, and long palate make this a versatile wine which will pair well with a variety of foods.
