The Bardolino wine region is located in the province of Verona in northeastern Italy. It’s a relatively unknown wine region that has been producing wines for years, but we don’t see much here in Alberta. Right in the heart of Bardolino is the Gorgo Wine Estate, which was established in 1973. This wine is a classic blend of Corvina Veronese with smaller amounts of Rondinella and Molinara. It’s delicate yet savoury, with loads of red fruit and a soft juicy finish.
