Glengyle 'Kilkerran' 8 Year Old Cask Strength

The whiskies from the Glengyle Distillery are sold under the name ‘Kilkerran’. The site of this distillery (closed in 1925) was re-equipped and opened again in 2004, by the owners of the Springbank Distillery. For this, Kilkerran whisky releases are always great to try, sharing the same DNA with Springbank. This latest release was aged for 8 years in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength. It's warming and polished, offering a mix of yellow apple, lemon peel, fresh honey, shortbread and butterscotch with a hint of green tea and campfire smoke.
