Francois Mikulski has been cultivating Aligote vineyards since 1992, for a delicious white made from the other white grape of Burgundy. The vineyards cover an area of 1.5 hectares and the first vines were planted in 1929 and the second in 1948 by Joseph Boillot, François Mikulski’s grandfather. Aligote first emerged as a resulting cross between Gouais Blanc and Pinot Noir, in the 17th century. This wine is zippy and fresh showcasing a mix of apple, peach, spiced pear and citrus with a hint of hawthorn, saline and hazelnut. Total production is only 9,000 bottles.
