Falkenstein Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir)

Located on the sunny mountainside, at the foot of Monte Sole, the Falkenstein property has been owned by the Pratzner family for over 200 years. In 1989, Franz and Bernadette began converting their apple farm to vines and their estate now comprises of 14 hectares. Here, the cool alpine nights merge with the warm Mediterranean days, creating the perfect environment for expressive Pinot Noir, similar to the styles we see coming out of Oregon. This beauty is both elegant and concentrated, showcasing a balance of black cherry, purple plum, blueberry yogourt and wild strawberry, with a hint of savoury baking spices and tea leaf.
