Egon Muller Scharzhof Riesling

The Egon Müller estate has been in the hands of the Müller family since 1797. Winemaking master, Egon Müller, makes breathtaking Rieslings and is consequently ranked among the Mosel’s top wine producers. For the ‘Scharzhof’ Riesling, Egon is sourcing fruit from vineyards in Saarburg, Kanzem and Wawern, plus the addition of fruit from the Wiltinger Braunfels and Wiltinger Kupp vineyards. A wine puzzle worth exploring, if Riesling is in your wheelhouse. It’s taut and racy with an explosion of musky melon, peach, apricot, lime peel, honeycomb and honeysuckle with a hint of petrol.
