Edradour SFTC 'Ballechin' Sherry Cask 500ml

This peaty single malt, from the Edradour Distillery, is released under the ‘Ballechin’ name. This beauty is a heavily peated whisky and the named after a long-closed nearby distillery. It was also matured in Oloroso Sherry casks and bottled up at cask strength (59.6%), for their Straight From The Cask series (SFTC). It carries a savoury blast of plum, blackberry, tart raspberry and dark chocolate with a rich and restrained core of peaty goodness and a hint of walnut.
