Duncan Taylor 'The Octave' 2008 Aultmore

Duncan Taylor was founded in Glasgow in 1938, as an independent bottling company. Over the decades, the company has built strong ties with distilleries all over Scotland. This tremendous offering is part of The Octave collection (single malt whiskies matured or ‘Octavised’ for a further period in small, 50 litre ex-sherry casks). This single malt hails from Speyside's Aultmore distillery. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2022, this whisky spent nine months maturing in one of Duncan Taylor's signature octave casks, giving an impression of an older whisky. You’ll taste a glorious mix of raisins, dates, prunes, apples and candied orange peel with a hint of honey and vanilla crusted cookies. Total production: 83 bottles.
