Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers

Deeply rooted in tradition, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is one of the finest domaines in the Côte d'Or and has certainly become a true Chassagne-Montrachet specialist over the years. Chassagne-Montrachet is a long, wandering village in the famed Côte de Beaune and are most famous for its elegant and luscious white wines. The Chardonnay grapes for this 1er Cru Les Vergers, stems from an incredibly small plot and the vines were planted in 1972. The wine is also aged for a period of 11 months in a mix of new and used barrels. This wine offers dazzling flavours of lemon custard, spicy pear, green apple, grapefruit and white corn, supported by seamlessly integrated oak and just a touch of toasted hazelnuts.
