Damascene Cabernet Franc

Wine entrepreneur David Curl (the former owner of Chateau Gaby in Bordeaux, France) had begun discussions with winemaker Jean Smit, about his involvement in Moya Meaker wines out of South Africa. After many long conversations about life and the philosophical search for what wine should be, they both collaborated together and Damascene Wines was born. This Cabernet Franc is produced with fruit from two hilltop vineyards in Stellenbosch. It’s richly elegant with a beautiful floral, leafy, blueberry, raspberry and blackcurrant fusion of deliciousness.
