Adam Lowy developed a fascination with wine while at university and built a career as an importer in Ontario, travelling to wine regions worldwide. Seeking a fresh challenge and inspired by his love of Burgundy, he subsequently set up Cloudsley Cellars in the Niagara Peninsula. This area is between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, with limestone soils, creating a perfect situation for growing luscious Pinot Noir grapes. This beauty was made with grapes sourced from carefully chosen vineyard sites, in the Twenty Mile Bench sub-appellation. It’s perfectly elegant and savoury, showcasing a fusion of black cherry, cranberry, black plum and tea leaf, with a hint of mushroom and baking spices.
