Francoise et Stephane Dief 'Clos Manou' Medoc

The Clos Manou property belongs to Francoise and Stephane Dief and their first vintage was 1998. Since then, they have been slowly growing the property to its present size of 18 hectares. This is a particularly interesting property, a little north of St. Estephe, with some fantastic plots dating back to the 1850s. Despite considerable success so far, the winery has remained a well-kept secret, although it maintains a rather cult-like reputation in France. The 2022 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It offers a harmonious and concentrated fusion of wild blackberry, plump bilberry, dark raspberry and clove, with notes of pencil lead, mocha and cigar box. Only 60 bottles came to Alberta.
