Brokers from the wine industry ranked the wines according to a Chateau’s reputation and trading price, from First to Fifth Growths (crus). This isn’t a guarantee of quality but certainly a very impressive guideline to follow and have some fun with. In this classification system, Chateau Giscours, in Margaux, is rated as a Third Growth. This offering is an absolute beast blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that has spent 17 months in 50% new French Oak. It exhibits notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, cassis and dark raspberry, with a hint of tobacco, vanilla, mocha and espresso. Drink between: 2026-2048
