Chateau Montifaud is family-owned, by descendants of Augustin Vallet, who started it all in 1837, spanning back six generations now. Their X.O. is an absolute gold mine for cognac, offering incredible length. It’s a blend of 30-35 year old Cognacs, that certainly sets it apart from most XO's, which rarely contain Cognac more than 25 years of age. It’s bursting a mix of raisin, date, prune, fig and peach with a spice rack mix of sweet spices, nutmeg, hazelnut, almond and cigar box.
