Chateau Caronne Ste Gemme is located on the outskirts of the Haut-Medoc, sharing a boundary with Saint-Julian and is one of the oldest estates in this area. The first written records of wine production date from 1648, when the owner leased the land to a tenant farmer, in exchange for payment in ‘Caronne wines.’ In 1900, the property was purchased by Emile Borie and is managed today by his nephew. This classic Bordeaux is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It offers a wonderful balance of black cherry, blackberry, currant and eucalyptus, with a hint of tobacco, coffee beans and mocha.
