Bokisch Tempranillo

Markus Bokisch grew up with a German father and Spanish mother, focused on a culture of farming and food. While he lived in California with his wife Liz, they travelled back to Spain for several months, developing a love for Spanish wine. The natural result was to bring that passion back to California and they specially selected Spanish rootstock to plant in Lodi, in 1998. This Tempranillo is one of the few wines to see a large percentage of new oak, reminding us of Spain. It’s a rare and powerful wine playing a unique twist for California, that’s extremely elegant.
