Yecla is a Spanish wine region located around the town of Yecla, in southeastern Spain. Grape growing and wine production has been practiced in this area for over 2000 years. Around 1850, the Candela family started to produce and sell small amounts of wine and turned it into a lifetime passion. ‘Campo Arriba’ is a vineyard specializing in old vine Monastrell. It’s the dominant grape in this blend, donating notes of brooding black plum, cherry pie and a kitchen rack mix of spices.
