Benoit Girardin Pommard

The Girardin Family has certainly been established in Burgundy through several generations of winegrowers. In 2020, Benoit created his own estate after the takeover of his families’ plots, along with the addition of long contract-growers (farmers). The grapes for this beauty stem from the village of Pommard. This village is off the beaten path in the Cote de Beaune, but this obscurity makes for some hidden gems. This wine is concentrated and elegant with a lovely balance of blackberry, cherry pit, ripe plum, bilberry and a hint of fresh roses with some funky savouriness. The combination of older and younger vines forms its classy freshness with a lingering intensity. Drink between: 2022-2030
