Zsirai Kekfrankos

Established in 2005, this family-owned winery is run by sisters Petra and Kata, along with their Mother.  Based in the town of Mád in the Tokaj region, the family also owns vineyards in Villány. This tiny region is in the far south, focusing on fruit-forward reds with some zip. This unique offering is made from Kékfrankos, which is also known as Lemberger. It’s certainly something different for someone seeking adventure. It conveys notes of succulent fruit and leather with a mix of fresh herbs and spice.
