Sandro Fay Rosso di Valtellina

Valtellina, an alpine valley in the far north of Lombardy, has been producing wine for over 2000 years. Sandro Fay founded The Societa Agricola Fay in 1973 in this dramatic mountainous landscape. Most of the vineyards sit at altitudes of 750 – 2500ft. This ‘Nebbiolo’ has a good punch of tannins in its youth but softens up with a little exposure to air. It offers a mix of wild herbs, cherries, raspberries, balsamic and spice.
