Roche Texture Pinot Noir

The Roche family moved to Penticton in 2011 from Bordeaux, France, convinced of the potential of Okanagan wines. They made their first wines under the Roche label (in very limited volume) in 2012. They bought an 8-acre vineyard on the south end of the Naramata Bench, above Penticton, in 2014. The soils and exposure are particularly suited to cool-climate varieties.
“The nose reveals some juicy strawberry and cherry aromas with savoury spicy notes. On the palate, sweet but restrained fruit leads to moderate tannins and a long finish. This wine will accompany roasted chicken and grilled pork tenderloin with root vegetables, though the wine has the finesse to complement halibut or salmon.” Winemaker's notes
