Portugal’s Alentejo wine region is known mainly for its cork production. However, some hidden gems can certainly be found, located in an area southwest of the São Mamede Mountains and bordering Spain. Quinta Da Plansel was created in 1997, when Dorina Lindemann came from Germany to Portugal with her husband. This wine is a blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira and Touriga Nacional. It’s made in a fresh style with plenty of crunchy fruit and juicy tannins.
