For nearly two decades, Luis Seabra has been at the center of a cultural shift in Portuguese winemaking, leading a movement of independent winemakers and making history by reclaiming historical vineyards. After a celebrated career as a soil researcher in Vinho Verde, Luis launched his own winery in 2013. But rather than a single vineyard, he prefers to focus on single soils for his wines and Granito soil is the highlight for this incredible Alvarinho (known as Albarino in Spain). Fermentation for this wine lasts for nearly 4 months, in a mix of new and used oak. On top of that, further aging in new and used oak will last for another 9 months, before bottling. This wine is an outright beast with many layers of intensity and absolute pleasure. Pure Gold!
