François's father, Lieutenant Mieczyslaw Mikulski, escaped from Poland in 1939, fleeing to England. He met his future wife, a Burgundian woman working on an English army base. They moved to Brussels, where François was born and raised. Over the years to come, François spent many summers in Burgundy where he fell in love with the lifestyle and became determined to make his own wine one day. In 1992, François inherited his first plot and quickly pursued his passion for producing authentic, pure, and elegant wines. Within the village of Monthelie, lies a small plot (lieu-dit) known as Les Toisieres, where these Pinot Noir grapes are sourced. In its youth, this wine certainly has a good punch of fresh tannin, that reveals a mix of blackberry jam, dried blueberry, dark cherry and cranberry. But a little aging in the cellar will add some elegance and depth, expressing an addition of wild herbs and savoury meats. Drink between: 2024-2036
