The making of the casks by the Cooper is an art passed on from generation to generation since the Middle Ages. Who better then to choose the perfect oak cask for maturing their whiskies then the man who made the barrel? The Coopers Choice range of single cask whiskies pays homage to these fine craftsmen and their important role in the Scotch Whisky industry. In this case, they have purchased a cask from the Teaninich Distillery and matured in ex-marsala barrels for 12 years and bottled in 2022. It offers a rich combination of chocolate fruitcake, dried plums, apricots, dates and brown sugar with a hint of almonds and pecans.
