Alex Gambal 'Les Deux Papis' Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Alex Gambal’s entry into the world of Burgundy would make him one of few Americans to make wine and own vineyards in this fiercely protected historic French zone. He moved to France in the early 1990s and started selling wine while attending viticulture school. For the next generation, he trained with a small group of winemakers, before sourcing his own fruit and started his own label. For this Bourgogne (Pinot Noir), Alex is sourcing fruit from vineyards around the villages of Pommard and Volnay. It offers an elegant balance of red and blue fruit with a hint of herbal spice, on a savoury and sensual finish. Drink between: 2022-2026
