Signatory Ardlair 2011 Cask Strength

Signatory Vintage is an independent bottling company, playing an important role in the whisky business. In this case, they have purchased one cask from Ardlair (unpeated Ardmore Distillery) and then carefully chosen when to bottle and release the whisky. Distilled in 2011, this single malt was matured in a refill Oloroso Sherry cask. The whisky was then bottled in November 2023, totalling 11 years and part of their Cask Strength Collection. This dram is an absolute powerhouse sitting at 62.5% abv, so don’t be afraid to add a little drop of water to your glass. It offers a punch of fruity oloroso sherry notes, crisp green apple, chocolate covered cherries, purple berries and caramelised hazelnut with a hint of pistachio and warmed spices. Only 597 bottles were gifted from this single cask.
